Livefyre is a light-weight, super-fast WordPress plug-in that can be downloaded, activated, and fully functioning on your blog within minutes. At the moment, only WordPress.org (self-hosted blogs) are able to download and install the Livefyre plug-in.
Here are two ways to install Livefyre on your WordPress blog:
I. Through your WordPress admin panel plug-in search (recommended):
1. Sign-in to your WP-Admin panel
2. Click "Plugins"
3. Click "Add New"
4. Search "Livefyre"
5. Under "Livefyre Realtime Comments," click "Install Now"
NOTE: If a browser dialogue box pops up asking if you're sure you want to install the plugin, click "Yes".
6. Click "Activate Plugin"
7. At the top of your WordPress admin panel, click "You must confirm..."
8. Sign-in to your Livefyre account OR create your Livefyre account
After signign-in, Livefyre will automatically import all of your previous comments. Once that process is complete, you and your community are ready to use Livefyre!
II. Through your WordPress admin panel plug-in upload:
1. Download the Livefyre plug-in located at the bottom of this page ("livefyre-comments.zip")
2. Sign-in to your WP-Admin panel
3. Click "Plugins"
4. Click "Add New"
5. Click "Upload"
6. Choose the "livefyre-comments.zip" file you downloaded and click "Install Now"
7. Click "Activate Plugin"
8. At the top of your WordPress admin panel, click "You must confirm..."
9. Sign-in to your Livefyre account OR create your Livefyre account
After signing-in, Livefyre will automatically import all of your previous comments. Once that process is complete, you and your community are ready to use Livefyre!
